Over the coming months, Formula Botanica will be interviewing skincare entrepreneurs all over the world to learn their secrets of running a successful brand. In this first interview, we speak to Anju Rupal, Founder of Abhati Suisse.
Abhati Suisse is an ethically-minded skincare brand, deeply influenced by its Indian heritage. Its mission is to associate the therapeutic virtues of Swiss botanicals with Himalayan plants from organic farms and transform them into luxurious, sustainable and fair-trade beauty products.
Meticulous attention is awarded to each step of production: from the suppliers chosen for their highest standard of sustainable farming, to the unique and scientifically-proven combination of ingredients in parallel with the application of indigenous healing practices. No aspect of the process has been left out: even the choice and design of the recyclable packaging and special glass to ensure the homogeneity of its contents have been sourced from like-minded partners.
In addition to producing a top of the line range of products, Abhati Suisse works hard to empower the farmers and craftspeople involved in their production. Its parallel mission is to educate girls in local communities and support them in becoming agents of change. Abhati’s social and environment impact has been rewarded with the BCorp certification, the first of its kind in Switzerland.
In our exclusive interview, Anju tells us about her experiences in starting a heart-driven brand with a conscience and shares her experiences of selling her skincare products all around the world.
