Jasantha Singh is the founder of Aurora Natural Skincare, a conscious, cruelty-free, vegan skincare brand that champions the freedom to choose what ends up on your skin and in our oceans. Aurora Skincare specialises in oil-based formulations tailored for dry, sensitive, and allergy-prone skin, promoting slow beauty with bespoke, eco-luxe, plastic-free products and ensuring safety for aquatic plants and animals.
Aurora Skincare integrates circular economy initiatives, such as ‘Return and refill empties’, and repurposes waste printer paper into Aurora Seed Paper Thank You tags, containing herb, flower, or veggie seeds to inspire community gardening. Jasantha Singh collaborates with local offices to collect their waste printer paper, which is then transformed by Growing Paper, a female-led company, into handmade Aurora Seed Paper cards. These cards accompany every customer’s order as a plantable gift tag.
As a Professional Coach, Jasantha offers Wellness Coaching, encouraging self-care, self-love, and a deeper connection with nature and the planet.
Jasantha has a cum laude postgrad in Cosmetic Formulation Science from the University of Cape Town’s Hair and Skin Research Lab. In her work, she aims to empower herself and others with transparency in every skin-loving ingredient, from source to skin. She credits Formula Botanica for empowering her to cultivate her natural beauty brand. In her own words, “Formula Botanica showed that it was possible to have a successful indie beauty brand and merge science, creativity, and fun into my natural skincare formulations. It is where I learned to create my first serum, which went on to receive the UK Beauty Shortlist: Mama & Baby Awards 2022 Editor’s Choice.”
