Lähde was founded by Kim Clave, an esthetician of 13+ years, in Seattle, Washington. Created with quality and simplicity in mind, this rapidly growing skincare line consists of handmade, small batch products, thoughtfully formulated with natural, responsibly sourced ingredients. Boosted by the knowledge gained from studying the Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation and the Advanced Diploma in Organic Cosmetic Science with world renowned Formula Botanica, Lähde Skin Care offers high performance self-care with a conscience. When Kim enrolled with Formula Botanica, she had already launched her product line with a small variety of balms being carried in the sugaring studio where she worked as an esthetician. With her studies underway, she began to expand her offerings to include face and body oils, which lead to an increase in her wholesale accounts as well. As her knowledge expanded, so did her product line. After graduating, Kim spent time researching and developing more products in her spare time as she was still working a full-time job and caring for her family.
In 2020, a year after completing her courses at Formula Botanica, she opened her own skin studio, Lähde Skin Studio, making and utilizing all of her own products for retail and for performing skin care services and treatments for her clients. The products are also carried in other studios in her area. Without Formula Botanica, Kim would not have the knowledge or confidence to create the safe, effective or varied products that she does today and will continue to develop in the future.
