KÁSHKASH [კაშკაშ] – sunshine, brilliance, luster, luminousness. Today, KÁSHKASH has evolved into a family team of Tbilisi-based artisan skincare formulators, united around the idea of combining the wonders of Georgian flora with modern formulation approaches. But the whole story began with a tiny essential oil kit gifted for a birthday. Keto (Ketevan Giorgobiani), the co-founder of KÁSHKASH discovered DIY skincare when she accidentally found her great-grandmother’s formulation notebook. It was a sign. Her grandmother Mannie appeared to have been a famous skincare formulator of her time.
Keto tested her grandmother’s formulas and they were just brilliant! She enrolled in Formula Botanica and adjusted Mannie’s formulas to be in line with EU Cosmetics Regulations and KÁSHKASH was born. Mannie’s 70-years-old, leather-covered notebook and her vintage mechanical scales became the success symbols of the business. The first collection, Maniii by KÁSHKASH was launched in July 2018 as a tribute to Keto’s grandmother, and much more is yet to come. Ketevan says that Formula Botanica gave her the confidence to use her knowledge to bring her brand to market.
