We are proud to introduce Adenrele Edwards, the founder of Roake, a brand she describes as “a love letter to the skin I live in now.”
“I created Roake as a love letter to the skin I live in now. After nearly 30 years as a trained aesthetician, I spent most of my career helping women turn back time. Then I began questioning why we were running from it at all. When I entered my fifties, having outlived both my father and husband, everything shifted. Then came menopause, and, with it, a new skin: drier, more reactive, less predictable.
I didn’t want to be 30 again. I simply wanted to feel supported, seen and celebrated for the woman I am now, so I created the products I couldn’t find. Roake is pro-ageing skincare, crafted for mature and menopausal skin with bioactive formulas that nourish, restore and honour your skin’s evolving needs. It’s about recognising the privilege of growing older and creating skincare that treats it that way.”
Adenrele enrolled with Formula Botanica and completed her studies after a career shift and relocation from Nigeria to the UK.
