Founded by Formula Botanica graduate, Katina, Ireora is a Jamaican brand where nature’s beauty meets sustainable skincare. The brand’s story began with a journey of love and resilience. Inspired by her husband’s courageous battle with cancer, Ireora’s founder turned to the healing power of nature, discovering the potential of Jamaican botanicals to nourish and protect the skin. During her husband’s radiation treatment, this vision for Ireora was born.
At Ireora, the focus is on unlocking the potential of nature through regenerative farming practices and the use of natural, responsibly sourced ingredients to create effective, and eco-friendly skincare. The brand’s mission is to help customers glow from the inside out while promoting a healthier planet. Ireora is committed to sourcing ingredients from its soon-to-be-certified organic farm, and from local farmers who share the brand’s values, reducing waste, and empowering its community to make conscious choices.
The founder credits Formula Botanica for playing a pivotal role in helping her start Ireora. She says, “Through Formula Botanica, I gained the formulation expertise, confidence, and credibility I needed to launch my business. The Diploma gave me practical skills in formulation, ingredient sourcing, and regulatory understanding, while the Entrepreneurship Program guided me in building a strong foundation for Ireora.
