At NKM, you can opt to buy ready-made skincare or buy the raw ingredients as well as DIY kits to formulate the skincare products yourself.  NKM believes that by manufacturing their own cosmetics, customers can understand better the interaction between skin and skincare, as well as the process and purpose of natural cosmetic formulation.  NKM focuses on using botanical ingredients from plants that thrive in German weather conditions. The brand is currently building a network of German farmers who offer the chance for visitors to see their plants growing. Mareike Peters is the founder of NKM and she still formulates every product herself. Formula Botanica was instrumental in Mareike broadening her skincare knowledge and the certification helped her gain credibility as a natural cosmetic formulator.
