Naturannis was founded in 2018 on the small island of Malta in the Mediterranean. Its products are hand formulated in small batches by Alexia Buttigieg, a beauty therapist who has been in the industry for over 22 years. With the tagline ‘natural skincare ritual’, Naturannis (a name drawn from Alexia’s daughter’s name, Annis, which means ‘pure’), is based on the belief that skin and soul benefit from clean, organic rituals. Naturannis was created for sensitive, problematic skin issues as well as for those who are seeking purer options in skincare. Alexia wanted to create a spa feeling in the comfort of the home, with beautiful products that performed well without being aggressive.
The products are made with exquisite organic ingredients based on extensive research and also after years of listening to her clients’ needs. Custom treatments are also offered for that unique experience from professional therapists at Naturannis. Formula Botanica provided Alexia with encouragement and support through its practical courses based on sound science. Alexia was able to create her brand and business with confidence knowing there was constant support from both the school and its inspiring community.
