Dr Klara Valko, an honorary professor at UCL School of Pharmacy and a fellow member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, founded Bio-Mimetic Cosmetics in the United Kingdom, which manufactures the products for her brand Klara’s Skincare. Graduating from Formula Botanica helped Klara to concentrate on formulating with the highest quality ingredients, such as active botanicals and natural emulsifiers. Klara’s Skincare products are formulated to offer maximum anti-ageing benefits to the skin.

Klara’s Skincare started as a trading division of Klara’s consultancy business. She has developed a proprietary method to associate polar, large active molecules with biomimetic micelles (patent pending) to improve skin absorption. She wanted to incorporate these micelles into face creams that contain natural botanical anti-ageing ingredients. Klara decided to learn more about organic skincare formulations by taking courses with Formula Botanica. She started with the Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation and then signed up for the International Organic Skincare Entrepreneur Program.
