Founded by Winifred Ayeni, Erema Botanics is a Black-British, heritage brand based in the southern UK county of Kent. Erema, Winifred’s son, not only inspired her to create soothing, luxurious blends, but was the vision behind her company’s name. Winifred had a challenging time calming her son’s eczema.
After trying countless products that didn’t work, she developed her own natural, holistic skincare line. Winifred blended luxurious and potent natural wonders like dragon extract, saccharide isomerate, murumuru butter, tamanu oil, shea butter, marula oil and niacinamide to soothe sensitive skin. An innate love for nature and a childhood filled with knowledge of ancient herbs from West Africa have helped Winifred combine ancient wisdom with today’s scientific knowledge to craft safe, sustainable, effective and natural skincare. Her mission is to consciously hydrate and revitalise damaged skin.
“I started following recipes when my son was diagnosed with eczema and I am thankful I found Formula Botanica at just the right time”, she says. Through Formula Botanica’s courses, Winifred has been able to formulate safe and effective products to help her son and also other people with similar conditions.
