Karen Andrea Forero, founder of the brand, has a passion for science that was inspired by the vast beauty of nature found in South America. When she was young, Karen was always fascinated by how her grandmother created empirical beauty recipes using unique Amazonian botanicals that would always seem to work magically to beautify her skin. Karen was so blessed to have experienced these ancestral native practices passed on through generations. Formula Botanica helped her to improve her techniques and apply them to developing her brand whose mission is to stay true to mother nature. That is why all Gachala products remain 100% vegan, cruelty-free and are sustainably harvested and pure, and are made without synthetic fragrance or synthetic preservatives.
